Interesting story ... Marty served an LDS mission to Nashville Tennessee, from 1982-1984. On Saturday, he was going through some keepsakes and found a letter from a family he had know in Tennessee. On impulse he decided to google the name of the mother in the family, and came up with a phone number in California. He had lost track of them because they were a military family and he didn't know where they had moved to, and honestly, it had been 20 + years. But he bit the bullet, called the number and gave his name, asked if she was Mona Trickey. She replied yes, and so he said " This may sound really crazy, but did you ever live in Clarksville Tennessee?" She said " Yes I did, and you are Marty, the one who baptized our family!" Well, needless to say Marty was pleased and shocked that she remembered him so quickly. So then came the reminiscing and the 'what have you been doing' etc. When Marty taught their family, they had 2 children. They baptized the dad, Jeff, and then they ordained him to the priesthood, and he then went into the water and baptised his wife Mona. Obviously this was a very important experience on Marty's mission. As he talked to her, we found out that they had 3 more children, but the interesting thing is they have a daughter who is also named Kimberly. Great minds think alike I say! Their Kimberly is still in high school, so a little younger than ours. Marty was pleased to know that they have stayed active and faithful ever since . It goes to show that you never know the effect of the ripples you send in to other people's lives...

That is SUCH a cool story! It really is amazing how one person can affect a whole generation huh! I bet that made your's and Marty's weeks!
I came across your site, and found this about Mona and Jeff pretty cool too. I went to junior high school, and high school with Mona (it's got to be the same one), and lived around the corner from both of them. In fact, I remember the night they met, it was on Halloween. I went to their wedding.
