Air Force Week June 2009

Hill Air Force Base recently hosted a very successful Air Force Week, and we were lucky to be involved in severl events connected to that. We were able to attend a concert by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir that was fantastic. We even got to meet Elder L.Tom Perry!! :) He thanked us for being there while we just grinned at him like idiots! ha ha

.

Then Kimberly and I were able to go to the Salt Lake REAL Soccer game. What fun!

And then we had VIP tickets to go on to the field for a concert by David Archuleta! We were there with about 100 other people, including screaming little girls. But we were only about 20 feet away from him, and it was actually pretty exciting!

Thanksgiving

We had a really fun surprise party for my brother in law Greg on Saturday for his 60th birthday! He was really taken by surprise, and we had a great time roasting and celebrating the passing of his youth...
.
But right now I just want to mention a few things I am thankful for. I am very thankful for the gospel in my life. I can't even imagine where I would be without it! I know I could not have survived losing my parents without the gospel and the hope and knowledge that I will see them again some day. I am SO grateful I was able to be sealed to my parents before dad passed away. I was fortunate to be the proxy for my mom for their marriage, and I will never forget how it felt to kneel at that altar with my dad. Especially at this time of year I think a lot of mom and dad and I miss them even more. But I am so greatful I had the wonderful parents that I did, and the older I get the more I realize how much they loved me. They were teriffic people and great parents and grandparents to my Kimberly. I know they would be so proud of her!
I am also thankful for a great husband and my daughter. And I am lucky enough to have a great extended family. And some of the best friends a girl could ask for!!

November 2008

Well, I don't think I have been to a Utah Jazz game since the Stockton and Malone days....And Marty was offered 4 tickets to the game on Saturday November 1. We rode the Front Runner down to Salt Lake.

Halloween

Happy Halloween! I don't have a little girl to dress up anymore, so here is the second best thing....

Justie..the 'wonder dog"

But the young kids still know how to have fun, so of course Kimberly went to a Halloween dance. Here she is with her cousin Haley. Cute, aren't they?

The Whittaker Girls September 2008

This is a photo of me, and my sister Ginny, and sister Sue

Whittaker Fun!

Okay, Okay!! I know I have REALLY been slacking on my blogging. It seemed like there was not much excitement to write about. We did spend an evening at my sister Sue's house with my siblings and their kids. Bryan had bought a new pool table which we all had to try out. What a blast! Even though I didn't play very well, we had fun. And they also have the game "Rock Band". THAT was hilarious! After Sue, Ginny and myself had been booed off stage, we kept trying and with the 3 of us girls doing the drums together, we made it throu a couple of songs!!

Yahoo for us! We were silly and made fools of ourselves, but nobody seemed to mind and we had a GREAT time!!

So here is a few photos from the Whittaker get together at the Crosby home.
